"As I sit here in my small home office that we recently added on to my older craftsman style bungalow in the Seabright area of Santa Cruz, I can't help but marvel and very much appreciate the intricate and difficult work Keith Schnaible of Seabright Construction did. He managed to put all the weird angles, slopes and sagging old home issues into a delightful light-filled addition that blends into the existing floor plan. We also added a small amount of square footage onto the tiny bedroom. I insisted on using this 1x2 beaded wood to match the existing old house. This was extremely challenging, he did it with expertise. He also showed up consistently and cleaned daily as things went along. He was considerate about changes and challenges. Over a period of several years, he has completed two projects:

A duplex rental property in Seabright, consisting of two separate 1900's beach cottages joined together by a kitchen and bath; And at my own residence, Keith installed and completed redwood slat enclosures, a fence and gate, among other improvements.

In 2023 Keith repaired and replaced most of the duplex back unit's crumbling walls and windows, antiquated plumbing and electrical systems. A new kitchen including cabinets and flooring was also installed. In 2024 Keith completely rebuilt the front kitchen and bath between the two cottages, installed new electrical and plumbing and replaced the roof, including a unique glass canopy and two skylights. This was a highly complex project combining older structural elements and new construction. 2026: Keith recently completed an electrical upgrade to the front unit, along with other miscellaneous interior and exterior improvements.
